Eat like a Gorilla?
Dr Simeons (a physician) stated that one of the causes of obesity is eating infrequently and having large meals.
Our digestive tract is similar to a primate – it operates better with nibbling of raw and unrefined food, just like a gorilla!
So, skipping breakfast, then eating a light lunch, ending with a huge dinner places an unnatural burden on the digestive system and intestinal tract. Also, processed food is refined and made easily digestible, flooding the body with calories that it cannot physically handle. Many fast food and chain restaurants also specifically design the food to increase appetite and get us chemically addicted to the food, making us fat.
So what does the body do? It must store the surplus somewhere, and thus creates fat deposits. And, believe me, the body will more readily give up muscle, before it gives up fat storage!
